DECA Student’s Parent Speaks About Entrepreneurship

Joel Kingsley, father of DECA student Blaire Kingsley, visited DECA this past Tuesday to speak about being an entrepreneur. Kingsley owns Axis Construction, a local company. He explained the different impacts our current economy has had on his company, and described building his company from the ground up.  He also provided insight to how government agencies, such as OSHA and EEA,  affect his business.

The recent speakers to our Chapter have all been part of the “Learn & Earn” Entrepreneurship Project that is currently under-way.  The purpose of the project is to allow students to learn about entrepreneurship, and then start an actual business enterprise.  With many learning activities now complete, our Chapter is ready to launch a new business concept, Paw Print Direct.  More info on this new enterprise will come soon!
