Program Overview…
The Gahanna Lincoln Marketing Education program teaches seniors about marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. Students selected into this nationally recognized program receive classroom instruction, operate the school store , and participate fully in the DECA student organization.
Many different styles and types of learning techniques are used to help students receive the background needed for careers in business. During the year students will cover areas including: training and development, economics, sales, advertising, merchandising, marketing research, statistics, social media, emotional intelligence, and management.
Nearly every instructional area covered in the class will be taught through the completion of marketing projects for actual businesses. More details about the GL Marketing Program can be found in the Program Policies Handbook.

DECA is an association for marketing students that offers a co-curricular program focused on leadership development, vocational understanding, community service, and social intelligence. DECA activities are exciting because they go far beyond textbook learning. Students work in teams to conduct real business projects and become involved in civic activities where they apply marketing and management principles to make important contributions to the community.
DECA enhances the classroom experience by providing conferences and competitions that mold high school students into character-driven leaders. Membership in DECA consists of 185,000 students in all 50 states, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, Germany and Mexico.
